South Korean lyric-spinto tenor KWONSOO JEON is renowned for captivating audiences with a voice that is perfectly suited for both lyrical and heroic roles.
He made his stage debut at the age of 22 while studying in Korea, performing roles such as ALFREDO in La Traviata and NEMORINO in L'elisir d'amore. In 2012, he made his Italian debut as DUCA in Rigoletto at the Teatro Marrucino in Chieti.
Past highlights include performances as RODOLFO in La Bohème, CAVARADOSSI in Tosca, and FAUST in Faust.
As a Richard Wagner Scholar in 2022, he debuted in the 2024/2025 season as MANRICO in "Il Trovatore" and DON CARLO in "Don Carlo," and also reprised his role as CAVARADOSSI in "Tosca."
In the 2025/2026 season, he is performing the roles of ALFREDO in Verdi's opera "La Traviata," RODOLFO in Puccini's opera "La Bohème," and ERIK in Wagner's opera "Der fliegende Holländer".
