Active as a lyric-spinto tenor throughout Europe, Kwonsoo Jeon is renowned for captivating audiences with his warm and powerful voice. His rich resonance and outstanding musical interpretation lead entire operas in both lyrical and heroic roles.
He made his stage debut at the age of 22 with roles such as Alfredo in La Traviata and Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore, and in 2012 made his Italian opera debut as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto.
His major roles include Rodolfo in La Bohème, Cavaradossi in Tosca, and Faust in Faust. Selected as a Richard Wagner Scholar in 2022, he debuted as Manrico in Il Trovatore and Don Carlo in Don Carlo in the 2024/2025 season, and returned to audiences as Cavaradossi in Tosca. In the 2025/2026 season, he is scheduled to perform Alfredo in La Traviata, Rodolfo in La Bohème, and Erik in Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer.
